My fav wedding day moments
If you’re new around here, hey! I’m Elisa — wedding coordinator, floral, timeline queen, and your professional yes-girl. I’ve been in the wedding industry since 2017, and I can’t even begin to describe how much of a blast it’s been. From arranging bouquets to cueing the processional, the weekends have given me a front-row seat to some of the most emotional, joyful, and hilarious moments couples experience on their big day.
So today, I’m sharing a few of my all-time favorite moments to witness during a wedding day. These are the things that don’t always make the shot list — but they’re the ones I carry on the slient car ride home in my heart (and sometimes in my camera roll 🥲).
Final Hugs befor the aisle
Whether it’s a last-minute kiss from Mom, a silent squeeze from Dad, or a full-on hype speech from your besties, this is one of those moments that gets me every time. There’s something about watching your people rally behind you before the big walk that reminds me why weddings are so dang special — it’s love, in every form.
Seeing the pinterest board finally come together
After months of planning, mood boards, and a hundred screenshots… the vision becomes reality. My dreams literally consist of floral installs, signature cocktails, the grand reveal, and the perfect seating assignment chart. Needless to say every little detail matters to me — and seeing it all click into place? Literal magic.
Unplanned Suprises
When the ceremony is over and you get to sneak you off for five minutes to just be married — no cameras, no crowd, just the two of you and a glass of champagne. Or maybe it’s that quiet moment during dinner when you finally sit down, take a breath, and look into the eyes of your forever person before dancing the night away. Or when you’re cutting the cake — trying not to ruin your makeup, but still sneaking a kiss and actually savoring the sweetness of the moment (pun absolutely intended).
These little pauses in the chaos? They’re what it’s all about.
“ONE MORE SONG! ONE MORE SONG!”
I live for the moment the formalities wrap and the dance floor becomes a full-on, judgment-free zone. Shoes off, ties around heads, someone’s uncle requesting Mr. Brightside for the third time — and yes, your grandma absolutely crushing the wobble in her orthopedic flats? Core memory unlocked.
It’s the shift from perfectly posed photos to pure joy. Everyone’s sweaty, happy, and screaming lyrics with zero regard for rhythm — and it’s perfect. It’s the best reminder that while weddings are beautiful, love is meant to be fun.
Sweet moments of gratitude
Every now and then, I catch a couple just looking around their reception — taking in the flowers, the twinkle lights, their people laughing over wine — and whispering something like, “We did it.” That’s the good stuff. It’s in the way they squeeze each other’s hand under the table. Or the way they pause for a second during dinner just to soak it all in — the music, the candles, the clinking glasses, the friends who flew in from across the country. Sometimes it’s a tearful glance at their parents. Other times it’s a silent thank-you to each other, no words needed.
These little in-between moments — quiet, fleeting, and full of meaning — are the ones I always carry with me. They’re the heartbeats of the whole day.
Every wedding is different, but these little moments? They’re why I keep coming back weekend after weekend with sore feet and a full heart. Whether I’m coordinating timelines, fluffing veils, or wrangling flower girls — getting to witness real, raw, joyful love is the best part of my job.
